The Lights at Legacy


On Sunday, November 22, The Shops at Legacy will kick-off the holiday season by hosting “The Lights At Legacy”, a fun-filled tree lighting ceremony enjoyed by Plano residents and surrounding communities.The celebration brings enticing activities for the entire family including live reindeers, carolers, face-painting, train rides, caricature artists and a visit from Santa Claus, all while various musical groups and choirs will perform on three different stages. Merchants will also be hosting a variety of activities including special promotions both inside and outside their stores, and great deals for attendees to start their holiday shopping.

Throughout the day, elf balloon artists will captivate children and Santa will be available for pictures from 2 - 6 p.m. Families can enjoy carriage rides throughout the center while the Ice Princess serves as a fortune teller. Elves on stilts and a variety of holiday characters will
captivate children of all ages. At 6:30 p.m. Santa Claus and Mayor Phil Dyer will kick off the holiday season and light the Christmas tree standing 60 feet tall with over 15,000 sparkling lights.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Children’s Medical Center Legacy. The Shops at Legacy will also be collecting toys to donate to the Plano Christmas Cops. The Plano Christmas Cops program is celebrating its 25th anniversary and hopes to assist many families in need in the Plano area.

The festival kicks off at 2 p.m on November 22nd with fabulous entertainment and events throughout the afternoon for all to enjoy and the tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m.
